Title
The primary goal of the Los Angeles City Scholars Program is to provide the highly motivated student
with a broader intellectual experience than those offered in the basic curriculum. Scholars courses are
designed to support and encourage innovative teaching strategies, provide a challenging curriculum, and
develop advanced critical thinking, analysis, discussion and writing skills of honor students. Please
attach a copy of the content topic page from the original course to the Scholars Addendum. The
Curriculum Committee will compare the difference between the original course and the Scholars
Section.
Please complete the following additional criteria that will augment this course to make it an
Scholars course.
