IMC University of Applied Sciences KREMS – the international dimension of studying
Although started in 1994 only, the IMC University of Applied Sciences has
developed into an internationally renowned University with more than 1,500

Fees
KIMEP Exchange Students should pay tuition fee min. for 3 courses to KIMEP prior to departure
according to academic calendar as usually. KIMEP exchange students pay student fee to Krems
University
Travel, living expenses, visa and insurance are responsibility of the students!
Accommodation Fee and Estimated Living Costs per semester
Krems offers students accommodation on-campus!
 Accommodation: €320 - 250 per month (single room), € 220 – 260 (Double room).
 Living expenses: €400 - per month (food, entertainment, books, etc)
Other Expenses
 Round ticket: about US 1,200 dollars
 Visa: about US 100 dollars
 Insurance: about US 300 dollars per semester
Total**: USD 5, 000 – 5 500 per semester.
Other expenses depend on students’ personal life-style and
preferences!
APPLICATION PROCEDURES:
I.
KIMEP Application Procedure:
In order to apply for the exchange program to Krems University, please ensure
that you satisfy the requirements of the academic program and submit necessary
completed documents to the International Relations Office in KIMEP:



Good English skills
GPA 3.0 and above
At least one full year of undergraduate or one full semester of graduate study at
KIMEP (with KIMEP background from entering the Master program)

A recommendation letter from a KIMEP faculty member
A copy of your unofficial transcript

Completed Course Pre-Approval Form; choose the courses you’d like to take at Krems
website and discuss it with the Course Instructor/Advisor (you can submit this form when
you are nominated for the program)

Krems University:
Having been nominated as an exchange student to Krems University,
your next step would be to complete required documents and send them
to the University in Austria. We recommend you to send by express mail
(EMS Express, Pony Express, Overseas Courier Service, UPS) which
guarantees the receiving of them.
The set of Exchange Programme enrolment forms - together with the
additional documents - should be returned to Krems University’s International
Office by set dates:
Once you know your home institution has accepted your application for
student exchange and has informed the IMC Krems about it, please fill in
the application form by computer, print it & sign it, have it signed and stamped
by your coordinator who will then transmit all the documents to us within the
given deadline.

Please be aware that you’ll have to apply for visa to Austria in advance!
We recommend you to start the application procedure right after nomination in
order to get your visa on time.
Students need a formal letter of acceptance for visa purposes! You will get it from the host
university as soon as they receive your application documents.
You can find the list of other required documents for visa on the website of the Embassy or call
there personally!
Further important information for exchange students is given in the International
Students’ Guide. For detailed information on lectures of our different degree programmes,
please read our International Students’ Course Guide. Your learning agreement is due 6
weeks prior to your arrival in Austria.
