Civil War Event at the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation September 13 and 14, 2014 Application for Soldiers, Artillery and Sutlers The Mifflin Guard, 1st Battalion Army of Northern Virginia and the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation will be hosting a Civil War event on September 13 and 14. The Plantation is located in Ridley Creek State Park. The event will feature two battles on Saturday and one on Sunday. We cordially invite you and your unit to participate in this event. Please be aware that all state park regulations will be enforced. These regulations include: No drunken or boisterous behavior. No pets, horses or other animals. No modern camping. Bounty to be paid for artillery pieces pre-registered no later than July 1, 2013. Artillery is limited to full scale (57” wheel #1 or 2 field carriages). Commercial reproduction or original tubes must be in good condition. Tubes (e.g. 10lb. parrots, 3 inch ordinance, 12 lb Napoleon, or field howitzer, 6lb field howitzer) must be the correct bore diameter for the tube type. Other period correct field artillery may be considered at the discretion of the event staff. Limbers are strongly urged over ammunition chest. For safety reasons, no small scale, mountain howitzer, mortar or other small artillery pieces will be allowed. All specialty impressions are by invitation only. Impressions include medical, spiritual and those wishing to do a demonstration. The registration fee is 5.00 per person if received by August 22 and 7.00 per person if received by September 5th (children under 12 are free) After September 5th registration will be 8.00. Checks should be made payable to: The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation. Battlefield combatants must be 16 or older, musicians must be 13 years or older. Any age child may participate in civilian activities.
