Service Contract 2007 Season
Offer to provide a service from Woodfieldpark La Croix for the
Mare __________________________________, to be accepted on the following
terms:
1
I will pay a non refundable handling/booking fee of $200 which
will be deducted from stud fee of $1000 +GST (No Foal Free
Return)due and payable on a 21 day positive pregnancy test to be
carried out by a qualified veterinarian. (to be billed directly by
veterinarian)

AI service fees are payable in advance and a vet certificate is
required to state that the mare is or is not in foal.
Collection and freight charges are payable by the mare owner.

All mares to remain on the Stud for the full 21 days period unless
prior arrangements have been made.

We will provide all possible care and attention but will not accept
any responsibility for the loss / illness / injury to any mare of foal.

The right to a free return is lost if I sell the mare.

I will pay all agistment charges at the departure of my mare.
These charges being: $20+GST Dry mare, $25+GST for Wet Mare
per week or part there off. Hard feed extra depending on what is
required.

I am responsible for and will pay all veterinarian fees and
charges as and when demanded on by my mare and or foal.
These will be billed to me directly by the Veterinarian.

I acknowledge that you have the right to refuse to provide
service to any mare, which is diseased or infected or dangerous
to handle.

All mares to be wormed upon arrival at the mare owners cost,
you are welcome to worm her upon arrival with your own wormer
however it has to be done at the stud.

Any damage directly caused by the mare is payable by the mare
owner.
NO FOAL FREE RETURN SERVICE
Mares that reabsorb, abort, or have a dead foal within 24 days of birth
(must be certified by a Vet) have a right to a return service the next
season with the same mare, providing all fees have been paid.
Free Return Service:
Please Note although the Service is Free, grazing
,handling fee and vet fees are still payable, please note the free return does
not constitute a cash refund, should the stallion not be available due to
unforeseen circumstances then you are entitled to substitute the service
with one of the other live cover stallions on the property.
MARES
Mares are to be delivered in good health, well handled (be ok with
being hobbled on back legs in case it is required), with a solid halter
and without shoes.
The Stud master has the right to decline any mares that are not of
anatomically good quality or with any known genetic defect. Mares
that are dangerous to serve will also be declined.
