National Brynseinion Stud Ridden Championships (A, B, C, D & WP-BR). This show is a qualifier for the
National Welsh Sarum Investments Ltd Gelding Championship. This show is a qualifier for the National
Welsh Brynseinion Lead Rein Championship and The National Welsh Brynseinion First Ridden

PONIES ASSOCIATION (UK) 2015 WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS (Affiliation No 014/W14/6984)
This Show is a qualifier for the 2015 Ponies (UK) Winter Championships Show. The 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in each
qualifying class will qualify. Competitors in qualifying positions who are not current members of Ponies
Association (UK) are allowed 14 days in which to become members and register their horses/ponies in
order for the qualification to remain valid. Lee Smith Members must have a competition card to be
signed in the ring by the judge or steward as the highest placed Lee Smith member to qualify for the
P(UK) Winter Lee Smith National Championships. Where a confined novice qualifier is combined with
an Open Class the highest placed confined novice horse/ pony wearing a white armband will qualify. No
qualification cards will be awarded in the ring.
WELSH PONY & COB SECTIONS
Brecon County Show is a WP&CS Bronze Medal Show. All exhibits must be registered or eligible for
registration in the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Stud Book. Brecon County Show is approved as a Sire Rating
Show

can be awarded to the next eligible pony.
WELSH GELDING INCENTIVE SCHEME: The Millcroft Stud Gelding Awards.

CONDITIONS
1. No animal is eligible to take more than one medal in a year, the shows of the Royal Welsh
Agricultural Society excepted.
2. If not already registered in the Stud Book, or entered in the appendix, application for the
registration or entry of the winner of a medal must be duly lodged with the secretary of the
WP&CS. The names and numbers of animals already registered in the stud book or entered in the
appendix and full particulars in case of animals not registered or entered must be printed in the
Show Catalogue or the medal will be withheld.
3. The owner of the medal winner must be a member of the WPCS who has paid his subscription for
the current year or has submitted his name for membership and paid one annual subscription.
4. Medals will only be given by the WPCS for Cobs and Ponies as described in the Stud Book.
5. Geldings originally registered as stallions and still being shown under their stallion number
must be correctly re-entered in the gelding section.
National High Point Junior Gelding of the Year
Open to all geldings within sections A, B, C and D, three years of age and under, shown in-hand,

The Tattersalls and RoR Thoroughbred Ridden Show Horse Class
Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4years old or over, any height. Riders must be 15 years or over. Horses should
be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. The first three go forward
to the championship at the Hickstead Derby Meeting in 2015. All entries MUST be registered with
Weatherbys in their General Stud Book and MUST also be registered with the ROR. The class is open to
thoroughbreds that have RACED in GB There will be a prize for the highest placed veteran 15years or over.
The class will be run under the rules of RoR. Horses will be ridden by the judge. All those entering horses
and/or participating in the show agree to be bound by the Retraining of Racehorses Rules and Regulations
from time to time in force. Please be aware that the show will split the class on the horse's last run in a race
(NH or Flat) or will provide 2 ride judges should entries exceed 20. Please mark your form accordingly. N.B.
Competitors must wear a safety/kite mark hard hat with a chinstrap.

All horses / ponies must be four years old or over.
Young Drivers. The driver must be aged 10 years or over on the first day of the show at which they are to
compete. A driver under the age of 18 must be accompanied in the vehicle by a competent and responsible
person aged 18 years or over “responsible adult”. Proof of age will be required if necessary. It is the
responsibility of the owner/driver(if over 18) or(if the owner/driver is under 18) the responsible adult to
ensure that his/her groom/s is/are competent for the purpose of attending to the turnout and aged 10 or over
on the day of the show. When in the vehicle grooms, passenger/s and driver must have their feet firmly on the
floor of the vehicle or use a suitable fixed footrest. This regulation applies at all times and in all areas on the
showground.
Hard Hat Ruling. All drivers/grooms/passengers under the age of 14 years must wear a correctly fitted hard
hat when in a carriage or in attendance to a turnout.
This is a Victoria Food Company Open Private Driving championship qualifier. The champion will qualify for
the grand final to be held on Sunday 14th September 2015 at the hand equestrian centre Clevedon, Somerset.
In the event that the champion has already qualified then the reserve champion to qualify. If the reserve has
also qualified, the rosette to be awarded back to the champion. Once qualified, the horse, whip and vehicle
may not be changed.

CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE The essence of this class is the word "elegance" and the winner
will be the turn-out, which in the opinion of the judge, presents the most elegant effect. This will obviously
include vehicle, horse, driver, passenger etc. but above all the general impression. This may well include the
driver's and passenger's personal attire, as it may contribute to the overall picture, but fancy dress or period
costume is not allowed. It is judged from a distance and vehicles are not closely inspected as in ordinary show
classes. Grooms or passengers must be carried.

single or multiple turnouts to a two or four wheeled exercise vehicle. Exhibitors in this class may if they wish,
take part in the show drive on a non competitive basis.
