Supplementary Regulations Meath and District Motor Club Supplementary Regulations for kart race meeting on 21st April 2013 1. Meath and District Motor Club (hereon known as MDMC) are promoting an open kart meeting at Athboy Karting Centre, Pluxton, Athboy, Co. Meath on the above date, held under the General Competition Rules of MI (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and Appendix 70 of the MI Yearbook 2013 MI Permit No. 13/ . General Supplementary Regulation for all race meetings and supplementary applicable to the venue form part of these regulations 2. The circuit is 900 metres in length, 6 metres in width and the surface is tarmacadam. All racing and movement on the track will be clockwise. 3. The meeting is a round of the National Championship for all classes listed in the Appendix 70 of the MI Yearbook 2013. 4. FUEL: For the purpose of this event the definition of fuel is Irish Standard EN228, 95 Octane. Fuel not complying to this standard as decided by the scrutineer will be considered as a decision of a Judge of Fact and exclusion from the meeting will be automatic. MDMC have nominated the Excol Mace Service Station, Trim Rd, Athboy, Co. Meath as the fuel supplier. All fuel used at this event MUST be purchased from this supplier. 5. TYRES – One set of tyres for all classes and to be stamped after official practice. SCALES - A Scrutineer will record the actual weight of competing karts and report any breach of the minimum weight requirements to the Clerk of the Course. Scales are deemed correct on the day. The onus is on each competitor to check his/her weight. 6. Non competitors and non officials are not allowed on the track, dummy grid or park ferme at any time. Parents of cadet drivers may sign with the competition secretary to be permitted on the track as helpers unless otherwise forbidden from doing so. High visibility vests must be worn on the track at all times. 7. Entry Fee - All Classes €95 8. Closing Date for Entries Entries open immediately and closing date for entry is Wednesday 17th April 2013. Entry fee must accompany entry. Late entries may be accepted at the digression of the club competition secretary on payment of an additional late entry fee of €50 and back of the grid for heats will also be given. Entry fee includes premium for Compulsory Personal Accident Scheme. Refer to current Motorsport Ireland Yearbook for list of benefits. 9. Cancellation of Entry Where upon the MDMC competition secretary written notice (letter, fax, email acceptable) cancelling an entry at least three clear days prior to the meeting, the entry fee shall be refunded. 10. INDEMNIFICATION: Entry of a kart will only be accepted on condition that MDMC, Motorsport Ireland, the sponsors and the landowners will not, under any circumstance whatever, be liable for any damage to property or injury or loss of whatever kind, sustained by the driver or other persons attending upon the said kart, whether caused during the race or heats or practice, or while the said kart is on the road forming part of the circuit, or any approach, or any land adjacent thereto, by whatever means such damage, injury or loss may be caused, and even though the same may be caused by the wilful act, neglect, or default of any official, agent, or servant of MDMC, Motorsport Ireland, Sponsors or Landowners. 11. ENTRY FORMS: All Competitors must read and sign the indemnification on all entry forms. Entry forms must be completed fully i.e. licence number and transponder number and forwarded to the competition secretary together with the entry fee to arrive no later than 5.30pm on the closing date. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry in accordance with GCR70 (International Sporting Code No. 74). 12. All Competitors must have a functioning fire extinguisher as per Motorsport Ireland regulations. 13. Length of Races All Drivers will have 2 heats & 2 finals (B & A Finals) Class Heats Final Cadets 8 laps Mini-max, KF3 & Junior max 10 laps All Other Classes 12 laps 10 laps 12 laps 14 laps 15. Time qualifying is only for KF3 – 5 minutes. 16. All drivers will have 2 heats and 2 final’s B & A. Prize giving will be given out ½ hour after the last race of the day. 17. All officials’ names will be posted on the notice board on the day of the event for the competitor’s attention and any other final instructions. 18. Under no circumstances will there be parking allowed on the outer-perimeter road area of the venue or up the drive way. Ample parking is available within the grounds of the venue. Please arrive early. 19.
