SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 The September 4, 2015 Regular Board meeting held at the Village Office, 110 W. Central, was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President Keneipp. Trustees present: Devine, Burt, Nystrom, Crawford, Beccue & Needles. Also present: Supt. Of Public Works Schopp; Chief Weseloh; Dave Darnall, Zoning Officer; Karen Lacefield. Dave Darnall was present to discuss a shed that was erected at 207 N. School without a permit. There is a pad of concrete there where another structure had been. He has since filled out his permit and paid his fee. He was told that the resident would probably have to go through the variance procedure to allow this structure because it may be too close to the lot lines. Dave left. A motion was made by Burt and seconded by Beccue to approve the 8/18/15 minutes as written. All trustees voted yes. Motion carried. The Board received the Police report for August. We are having problems with solicitors going around town without a permit. Anyone selling something, should have a permit from the Village Office. The Police Department should be called immediately if someone goes to a door without a permit. The Police Department will be working with the Grade School on several drills. The Board received the Public Works reports. Schopp reported that we had 3” of rain from July 20th – August 20th. The MFT street work should be done Wednesday or Thursday of this week. The wheel assembly on the bat wing mower was repaired. SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 Schopp met with Peoria Pump about the pumps at the lift station. He is also working with Linden to get current pricing on pumps. We received a bid from them several years ago. We are still waiting for Hoerr to do camera work in sanitary sewer. In looking over the zoning book, a section was found that allows 3’side lot lines for accessory structures. In this case, Dave Darnall would have discretion to allow the shed at 207 N. School and no variance would be needed. A motion was made by Beccue and seconded by Crawford to approve the monthly bills as presented and allowed. General Fund $14,556.88; Water $15,938.32; Sewer $5,400.32. All trustees voted yes. Motion carried. The residents on N. Western who received the notice about parking on the designated street asked whether they could purchase the street. The Village is not interested in selling this property. It will be one of the entrances to the new park. Howard’s indicated that the Attorney had not given them a time frame to remove their vehicles and trailers along the street. A motion to adjourn at 8:15 p.m. was made by Beccue and seconded by Needles. All trustees voted yes. Motion carried.
