PATIENT LETTER
The following is an example of a letter we urge you to send to the editors of local publications to try to encourage Florida Blue to negotiate with Borland-Groover
Clinic. We strongly encourage you to personalize it with your own experiences and opinions.
Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with Florida Blue denying its members covered access to care at Borland-Groover Clinic. As a patient of the clinic, I have found the physicians and staff to offer healthcare of the highest quality, showing compassion that is a great comfort to me and, I am sure, to all their patients.
Florida Blue claims to care about its members. I find this hard to believe in light of its recent decision to exclude Borland-Groover Clinic from its network.
If a solution is not found, I will be forced to either change health insurance or find a new doctor. Either course of action is difficult and highly upsetting. I have established a strong personal relationship with my doctor at Borland-Groover Clinic, and I do not want to start all over again with a new doctor.
I hope this letter, in some small way, persuades Florida Blue to reverse its decision and again make it possible for members to seek the quality care that is so important to them.
Sincerely,

BGC DOCTOR LETTER
The following is an example of a letter we urge you to send to the editors of local publications to try to encourage Florida Blue to negotiate with Borland-Groover
Clinic. We strongly encourage you to personalize it with your own experiences and opinions.
Dear Editor,
At Borland-Groover Clinic, we are proud to have offered our patients excellent medical care for nearly 70 years. We take our relationships with our patients very seriously and work diligently toward establishing close personal connections with them.
This is why Florida Blue’s recent decision to deny its members covered access to our clinic is so disappointing. Borland-Groover Clinic worked in good faith to reach a fair and equitable agreement with Florida Blue that acknowledged the realities of today’s healthcare economics.
Unfortunately, Florida Blue insisted on unreasonable reimbursement-rate reductions that would impair our ability to offer the outstanding care our patients have come to rely on.
Florida Blue’s decision will cause a major disruption in the continuity of care for many of our patients. This not only causes distress among our patients but can also seriously affect their health.
I hope this letter will serve to encourage Florida Blue to negotiate with our clinic in the interest of continuing to offer our patients the care we believe they deserve. Thank you.
Sincerely,

BGC EMPLOYEE LETTER
The following is an example of a letter we urge you to send to the editors of local publications to try to encourage Florida Blue to negotiate with Borland-Groover
Clinic. We strongly encourage you to personalize it with your own experiences and opinions.
Dear Editor,
As an employee of Borland-Groover Clinic, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment in Florida Blue’s decision to deny its members covered care at our clinic.
Every day, I witness the concern and compassion that is shown toward patients by our physicians and staff members. And I see satisfaction and appreciation in the faces of our patients, many of whose care will be seriously interrupted by Florida Blue’s decision.
Patients will be forced either to find new doctors or new insurance coverage.
Both alternatives are distressing to our patients, as anyone with health issues can understand.
I hope that Florida Blue will do the responsible, decent thing and open new discussions with Borland-Groover Clinic so we can continue offering patients the quality of care they deserve. Thank you.
Sincerely,

REFERRING PHYSICIAN LETTER
The following is an example of a letter we urge you to send to the editors of local publications to try to encourage Florida Blue to negotiate with Borland-Groover
Clinic. We strongly encourage you to personalize it with your own experiences and opinions.
Dear Editor,
As a practicing physician, I often refer my patients to Borland-Groover Clinic for testing and treatment of gastrointestinal disorders. I have extremely high confidence in their physicians and staff, and my patients have expressed similarly high levels of satisfaction with the clinic and its services.
This is why it is so upsetting to learn that Florida Blue has denied its members access to covered services at Borland-Groover Clinic. This will put many patients in compromising medical straits, and they will be forced to find either new doctors or new insurance. Neither option is acceptable, in my opinion.
It is my hope that Florida Blue will live up to its responsibilities toward its members by reconsidering its decision and once again allowing its members access to the high quality of care offered by Borland-Groover Clinic. Thank you.
Sincerely,
