An exciting Permanent Part-Time (3/days per week) opportunity as a Nurse Practitioner exists in the Headache Clinic, reporting to the Clinical Director. Summary of Duties, but not limited to: Overall goal: delivery of patient care under the scope of Nurse Practitioner in the Headache Centre in an ambulatory care setting. Performs expert individual assessments for patients in the Headache Centre guided by standard of care for this population of patients. Provides expert patient care management for patients presenting with migraine symptoms. Provides education to patients and their families on management of migraines and related pain management. Is a resource to other health care professionals internally and externally in the area of pain management and migraines. Qualifications/Skills: Masters Degree Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification Registered Nurses Extended Class [RN(EC)] Registered Nurse with the current Certificate of Competence in Ontario Minimum of 2years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in acute care setting with a specialization in headache and pain management.
