Specific duties will include: i) Providing radiographic services to the patients; processing, verifying and maintaining information relating to patients; ii) Ordering and maintaining records of radiographic and photographic supplies. COMMUNITY HEALTH ASSISTANT III, JOB GROUP ‘G’ (25 Posts) V/NO 074/2015 Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 16,692 x 835 – 17,527 x 876 – 18,403 x 920 – 19,323 x 966 – 20,289 x 1,015 – 21,304 p.m. Duties and Responsibility 2 Duties and responsibilities at this level will include: i) Visiting homes to determine health situations and dialogue with household members; ii) Identifying and sensitizing communities on health interventions; iii) Identifying common ailments and minor injuries at community level; iv) Collecting health data at household level for Analysis; v) Distribution of Information Education Communication materials, mosquito nets and other commodities to households; vi) Identifying defaulters of health interventions and other health cases and referring them to health facilities; and vii) Maintaining and updating health data using health registers. Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:i) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education ii) Certificate in any of the following disciplines: Community Health, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or Community Development from a recognized institution; and iii) Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution 5. ASSISTANT PUBLIC HEATH OFFICER-III, JOB GROUP 'H' (10 Posts) V/NO 075/2015 Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 19,323 x 966 – 20,289 x 1,015 – 21,304 x 1,065 – 22,369 x 1,120 – 23,489 x 1,173 – 24,662 p.m. Duties and Responsibilities An officer at this level will provide Environmental Health Extension services in the area of deployment, where specific duties and responsibilities will include: i) Mobilizing, sensitizing and advising communities on matters related to environmental health; Referring health cases to relevant health facilities; ii) Carrying out immunization; identifying environmental health issues at Household level; iii) Organizing community health days to advise communities on common public health issues; Collecting and maintaining up to date records of services rendered; and iv) Assessing health needs of the community Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: i) Diploma in Environmental Health Science or Public Health Technology from a recognized institution; ii) Certificate in Computer Applications Skills from a recognized institution 6. HEALTH RECORDS AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT III, JG 'G' (3Posts) V/NO 077/2015 Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 16,692 x 835 – 17,527 x 876 – 18,403 x 920 – 19,323 x 966 – 20,289 x 1,015 – 21,304 p.m. This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a more senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:(i) Receiving and registering patients at hospital reception; (ii) Booking appointment for patients to specialty and consultants clinics; (iii)Storing and retrieving medical records and documents; (iv) Preparing clinics; (v) Updating bed bureaus; (vi) Capturing data from service points; (vii) Maintaining record safety and confidentiality; and (viii) Directing patients to relevant clinics Requirements for Appointment For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:(i) Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology from a recognized (ii) Certificate in computer application Skills from a recognized institution.. 8. PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNOLOGIST III J/G ‘H’ (15 Posts) V/NO 078/2015Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 19,323 x 966 – 20,289 x 1,015 – 21,304 x 1,065 – 22,369 x 1,120 – 23,489 x 1,173 – 24,662 p.m. Duties and responsibilities 4 The specific duties will be to oversee service delivery in the following areas, among others. (i) Dispensing and compounding medicine. (ii) Verifying and maintaining information relating to medication issued to patient. (iii)Ordering and recording pharmaceutical and other supplies. (iv) Guiding and counseling pharmaceutical technologist intern and; (v) Supervision of other staff working under him or her (vi) Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time. Requirements for appointment (i) Be a holder a diploma in pharmacy or pharmaceutical technology from a recognized medical institution (ii) Must have a valid registration license by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board in Pharmaceutical Technology (iii) At least 2 years relevant work experience (iv) Certificate in computer application Skills from a recognized institution. 9. KENYA REGISTERED COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSES III JG ‘H’ (15 Posts) V/NO 081/2015 Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 19,323 x 966 – 20,289 x 1,015 – 21,304 x 1,065 – 22,369 x 1,120 – 23,489 x 1,173 – 24,662 p.m. Duties and Responsibility Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: (i) Assessing patients and clients and establishing health care needs; (ii) Planning and implementing nursing care interventions based on patients' clients' health needs; providing appropriate. (iii)Healthcare service, including immunization, ante-natal care, delivery, referring patients and clients appropriately; (iv) Evaluating healthcare outcomes on patients/clients preparing individual reports; (v) Making appropriate discharge plan for patients; (vi) Conducting assessment of school health needs; planning, implementing interventions and preparing periodic reports; (vii) Maintaining records on patients/clients personal and health condition/care; (viii) Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment; (ix) Ensuring safe custody for in-patients belongings; (x) Conducting home visits, following up discharged patients/clients and providing continuity of care; and treating minor ailments. SENIOR CLINICAL OFFICER (ENT) SPECIALIST, JOB GROUP ‘L’ (1 POST) V/NO 082/2015 Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 35,910 x 1,800 – 37,710 x 1,890 – 39,600 x 1,990 – 41,590 x 2,070 – 43,360 x 2,220 – 45,880 p.m. 6 Duties and Responsibilities: (i) Carryout history taking, examination, diagnosing, treating and managing diseases and conditions in an outpatient and inpatient Health facility. (ii) Carryout specialized clinical services on Ear, Nose and Throat/Audiology. Requirements for Appointment: (i) Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health with a Higher National Diploma in ENT/Audiology from a recognized institution. (ii) Must work with this specialty for at least 3 years (iii)Must have a certificate of Registration from Clinical Officers Council. (iv) Must obtain a certificate of good conduct. 13. OFFICE ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT III, JOB GROUP ‘G’ (6 Posts) V/NO 083/2015 Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 16,692 x 835 – 17,527 x 876 – 18,403 x 920 – 19,323 x 966 – 20,289 x 1,015 – 21,304 p.m. Duties and Responsibilities (i) Typing from manuscripts; (ii) Processing data, operating office equipment; (iii)Ensuring security of office equipment, documents and records; (iv) Attending to visitors/clients, handling telephone calls and appointments, and undertaking other secretarial duties that may be assigned. The officer may be required to work for more than one officer or may be deployed in a typing pool.
