Duncan & Toplis Welcomes Ten Trainees

Ten accountancy trainees were welcomed to the leading East Midlands chartered accountants and business advisers Duncan & Toplis at an induction day in

Grantham.

The trainees are all beginning ACA (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and

Wales) or AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualifications or have joined

Duncan & Toplis on a one-year placement.

Adrian Reynolds, Managing Partner, started the day by welcoming the students and giving an overview of the firm. He spoke to the students about the goals of the recently published five-year strategic plan and the important part that every member of the team has to play in achieving the objectives set out in it.

Other talks during the day included an insight into studying for the ACA qualification by

Maddie Barbarino from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a valuable Q&A session with previous Duncan & Toplis trainees who have now qualified.

“Our induction day for new trainees is an important annual event,” said Debby Brewin,

HR Director at Duncan & Toplis. “It is an opportunity for them to meet each other in a relaxed and friendly environment, as well as familiarise themselves with the Duncan &

Toplis values.

“Our students are key to the future success of the firm and we believe this day helps to set them off on the right foot for their career with us.
