Request for clarification on CCC charge -- “Make recommendations to the Senate on matters relating to the design, revision, administration and implementation of the Core Curriculum.” a. Are “recommendations” only change oriented? For example -- X is happening but CCC recommends Y because . . . b. What about “commendations?” For example -- Core element X has shown evidence of excellent performance in area Y. The CCC recommends that the Senate recognize this achievement with a formal statement of praise and encouragement. i. This was discussed at the agenda meeting and the EC agreed that commendations as well as conveyance of information is part of the charge. Respectfully submitted, Jon Radwan Committee Chair
