3. Bring the two pages of the registration form and payment to Ms. Anne Irvin in
the Dean’s Office on the 8th floor of Dunton Tower.
4. She will sign the second page and return it to you as your official receipt. It
also contains details on the course objective, location and timing.

Workshop Fees include four days of instruction, the book, “Principles and Practice of
Structural Equation Modeling”, and lunch each day. Cheques made payable to Carleton
University will be accepted as payment. Only cheque or cash are acceptable forms of
payment. You are not registered until we have your completed registration form and your
payment, and the receipt has been signed by Anne Irvin.

Cancellation Policy: We need a minimum of 10 participants registered by August 18th,
2008 to run the workshop. Should the workshop be cancelled for insufficient enrolment, your
money will be refunded in full. Should you be unable to attend the workshop, your fee will
be refunded if the request to cancel is received on or before August 18th 2008. No refund will
be made if the cancellation is made on August 19th or after.

RECEIPT FOR STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODELING WORKSHOP
Workshop Objective: To explore the theory of Structural Equation Modeling, and gain
practical hands-on experience. The workshop will cover the ideas that are essential to the
understanding of the general rationale of SEM, path analysis, latent variable analysis, some
special cases, and how to avoid common mistakes with SEM.
Instructor: Professor Rex Kline is a full time professor of Psychology at Concordia
University in Montreal. His areas of research and writing have included the psychometric
evaluation of cognitive abilities, child clinical assessment, structural equation modeling, and
usability engineering in computer science. Professor Kline has written three books including
“Principles and Practice of Structural Equation Modeling” and more than 40 articles in
research journals
