Resuscitation - Mandatory
Aim- Ensure staff are trained in the principles and practice of resuscitation as appropriate to their
role and responsibilities.
Background: Priority 1 training (as discussed in resuscitation policy) is essential to ensure that the
Trust meets its requirements to deliver a safe and effective resuscitation service and is
therefore a mandatory training requirement. This provides an overview but resuscitation
policy should be referred to at all times.
This is relevant to :
Registered Nursing and Midwifery Staff (Bands 5 to 8)

Operating Department Practitioner’s (Bands 5 to 8)

Doctors (All grades)

Physiotherapists
