No codes Use as few lay-out codes as possible (only the use of ita!ics and bold has to be indicated). Don't justify the lines, don't hyphenate and don't provide any blank lines between the paragraphs. Use the footnote function Use the automatic footnote function in the text processing programme. Please don't gather the footnotes in a separate document; instead put them at the bottom of each page. The footnote references {consecutive numeration} have to be marked in superscript and preferably at the end of the paragraph. The footnote reference figure should be put at the end of the sentence, after the full stop. Please avoid placing footnote references in the middle of a sentence. 1 page = ca. 3000 characters The number of pages allotted to you is the final number of printed pages in the book, including the footnotes. The easiest way to calculate the number of pages is by counting the characters. One average page contains about 3000 characters (without spaces). You can check the volume of your paper by multiplying the number of pages (including footnotes) by 3000. Full biblographical references The general rule for editing runs as follows: -It's recommended to include a separate bibliography, which contains the full references of all the articles and books cited in the footnotes. In this way the editor can easily assemble the general bibliography of the book. You should take care in referring to articles to note not only the pages you are referring to, but also the initial and final paqe numbers of the article in the journal or anthology. Please mention in the references the full first name of the author (instead of only the initials) and also the publisher. -When archives and archival periodicals have been consulted, it could be useful to draw up a list, mentioning all consulted archives and the volumes of the periodicals. Abbreviations in referring to archives are possible if you append a list with the complete references. – When abbreviations are used, please add a list of acronyms. PROF. DR.
