What to expect after your pet's vaccination Vaccination will rarely cause any noticeable change in your pet. Common reactions A very small number of pets may experience an adverse reaction, temporarily showing one or more of the following signs: lethargy fever reduced appetite swelling and/or discomfort at the injection site facial swelling vomiting What to do should common reactions occur If you are concerned that your pet is experiencing an adverse reaction to a vaccination, please contact Tony's Practice immediately, as some pets will require treatment. If your pet has had an adverse reaction to a vaccination in the past, please inform us so that subsequent vaccines can be given as safely as possible. Most pets can still be vaccinated again, either with a different vaccine or medication to prevent reactions. Most adverse reactions to vaccination are mild and temporary. In the majority of cases, the benefits of vaccinating your pet, greatly outweigh the risks of a reaction. Please do not hesitate to contact us, if you are at all concerned with your pet after vaccination.
