When you are done, answer one the following prompts:
After reviewing the information presented in the websites and during the homeroom
announcements, what do you think people should know about Native American culture
and why? What did you find meaningful and/or interesting? How has this information
influenced your perception of Native Americans? What have you learned?
Compare and contrast the art of two different Native American artists. Explain the work
of each. For example, describe the materials, colors, shapes and textures used. Explain
how the artists seem similar and/or different. What do you think their art represents?
Summarize in your own words what you learned from any of the websites or homeroom
announcements. Include the main idea(s) and the most significant details. Explain why
you think the information is important or interesting.
Contest Rules
Eligibility:
Open to all Frost students
Limit:
One entry per student
Deadline:
Entries must be submitted to Ms. Melendez between November 18 and November 30.
Qualifications:
1. Your essay must address the theme.
2. Your essay must be printed on white letter-sized
paper.
3. Your essay must be 500 words or less.
4. Your essay must have a title.
5. Your name must be written on
the cover sheet and on the entry itself.
Participants and Winners:
1. Winners will be notified by December 7.
2. All participants will receive a Certificate of Merit
