Food safety matters is a resource for use in schools to support home economics
teachers in their promotion of food safety. It comprises seven posters, 26 student
booklets (20 pp each), a video and a teachers manual incorporating learning
experiences, blackline masters for overhead transparencies and photocopiable
student resource sheets. The resource promotes five simple food safety
messages to prevent food poisoning. The resource is aimed at school students
of home economics as a means of supporting food safety in the home. It is also
appropriate for students of hospitality in schools and TAFE colleges.
