C-Bay Infrastructure, Software, and Hardware: California, New York, Dallas Offices
C-Bay auctions Real Estate of all types. It provides a framework for Sellers to post their Listings
information on the website. Using English and Dutch auction rules, the potential buyers can bid

C-Bay is listing about 550-800 Listings a day. Each Listing Record has Virtual Tours, Images
and other Listing Details. Each Listing occupies 90-150MB of disk space (including Video Files).

Internet: Cisco 26xx router with Ethernet to the PIX and T1 to ISP.
Firewall: Cisco PIX (515-ER), three interfaces in use. No NAT. The PIX is the terminus
of a VPN tunnel back to C-Bay headquarters. The numbers in the diagram refer to the
configuration of the PIX firewall interfaces. At least one member of each team should be
assigned to read up on the unique (and common) characteristics of the PIX firewall
devices.
The router, firewall, and two Cisco Catalyst 1924 workgroup switches are stacked on a
table in the network administrator’s cubicle. The DMZ segment and the segment
between the firewall and router are defined as VLANs on one of the switches. The
