Dufour’s unique construction method includes deck mould which also incorporates the sub-floor of the salon, base of the settee, base of the galley and base of the nav station for additional strength. The hull design of the Nautitech 475 is narrow and deep with moderate overall length. This design requires power, thereby improving performance in general and particularly in upwind sailing. The small waterline area, combined with the moderate overall length, ensures smooth sailing and comfort whether at sea or at anchor. “Jinga” was custom built for her previous owner using Dufour’s “Grand Cruiser” package as a foundation. The results of this vessel were so successful, that Dufour now offers this interior layout and finish as the “Prestige” version for all private owners. “Jinga” was commissioned in August 1998 and sailed to the Mediterranean by her owner. In November 1998 “Jinga” was shipped from Mallorca to Florida via United Yacht Transport where she was stored. “Jinga” was then shipped to Tahiti and was sailed to Australia via the Pacific. Upon arrival, she was stored for some 9 months and then sold to her current owners in July 2000. Since that time, she has been classified in Australian charter survey, and is looking to the luxury end of the charter market in Australia’s “Gold Coast” area, together with owner cruising.
