1988 – 1989 Microbiology of bacterial diseases of various agricultural products, National
Institute for Plant Research, Pretoria
1989 – 1993 Division of Water Technology, CSIR, Pretoria as Applied Microbiologist in
the Water, Waste and Effluent Treatment Programme: Effluents treated
include those from the pulp and paper, textile, dye-house, abattoir, wool
scouring, food and vegetable, petrochemical, and gasification industries.
1994 -
Lecturing at Technikon Northern Gauteng: National Diploma Water Care, B.Tech Water Care,
B.Tech Civil Engineering, B.Tech Mechanical Engineering. Subjects include: Water care
technology (potable and wastewater treatment); water biology (limnology); industrial effluents;
microbiology; engineering aspects; environmental engineering; research methodology;
groundwater; hydraulics; control and legal aspects: water; principles of water management;
water practicals; water project); environmental biotechnology.
