Lord Mayor of Santa Rev. Khan Elroy Moses to Alatening, 2nd February 2015

Great People of Alatening,
We are very delighted to once more welcome Rev, Khan Elroy Moses, the Lord Mayor of Santa
to Alatening . Rev. Thank you sincerely for effecting this visit barely 3 months after the 1st one. Your 1st
visit was history making. This 2nd visit is a confirmation of the fact that you are a true son and fervent
developer of this village.
By your actions and deeds, Alatening cannot forget you for your Educational, Social and Economic
contributions to its development. This calls for our exceptional gratefulness to you, because you are
standing by our village, our Fon, you are helping us in building our infrastructure , you are encouraging
us to build our faith and love for one another. As a result, we now have hope for a better future. Mr.
Lord Mayor, you have a very clean report card in Alatening this year with very high Marks. Let’s look at
it below;













Because you stood by us, we have roofed our multipurpose community Centre.
You have renovated and refurbished 3 classrooms at GSS Alatening,
You have provided benches to our kids
You have recruited and sent to GSS Alatening a French teacher
You have built a principal’s office in GSS Alatening
You have provided books to our Kids
You have given salt to our mothers
You have always made sure we are happy when you are here.
You have promised to provide zinc to the four class rooms under construction at GSS by ACDA
You have promised that our GSS will become GHS this year.
You have promised to reach out and support widows and orphans in this village
You have promised to be at the price award ceremony of GSS Alatening this year.
You have, done many things in Santa and our village in a very short time.
Mr. Lord Mayor, we can see that Education is very close to your heart. All we can do now is to
continually pray to the Good lord to continue to protect you, bless you abundantly, so that you can
continue to institute lasting and meaningful change, Great leadership, Social inclusion and Economic
development in our villages.

Mr. Lord Mayor, We have already allocated sites for the new lock up market in Alatening, Health Centre
and Government Primary School Alatening. Connecting Alatening with Chomba at Nebareh with a farm
to market road and bridge will be another dream come true. We are perplexed, overwhelmed, excited
but also very hopeful that with you, all of these will come to bear fruits.
My dear students, all that is required of you is hard work. Make the lord mayor proud of you because
of your results. Make Alatening proud of you, make your teachers proud of you because of your hard
work. ACDA has allocated 250 000frs for your prices and scholarships this year. See you soon at the
prize award ceremony.
Dear Principal, Staff and PTA, ACDA will continue to be a trusted partner of GSS Alatening. Through great
collaboration, we will achieve more.
Our Fon,
Lord Mayor, Since leaving Pinyin over 400 years ago, Alatening has had 10 Fons. Though the current
Fon, John Chi Suhfor II, the longest reining Fon in the NWR, HRH is yet to be classified. We have
constituted a delegation led by our Brother Ban Blaise to meet you so we can start the process of
resolving this matter.
Representation of Alatening in the Santa Council.
Alatening has ONLY ONE councilor in a Santa Council of 9 villages with 41 councilors. This cannot be
adequate representation. Alatening will not accept anything less than 3 councilors come 2018.
Mr. Council representing Alatening, in six years we have not seen anything from you. What have you
been doing with your “Small money big Change”? Every year, other councilors in the villages of Santa
are impacting positively their communities with this money. Please stand up so that Alatening can be
counted.
My dear people of Alatening, let us rally behind the people helping and developing us, so that together
we can build the best Council in the Republic. Let us also register for the Polls, collect our voters cards
as this is the ONLY tool that will enable us choose or elect the people we really want and have greater
participation and representation in the Santa Council.
Mr. Lord Mayor, you are a true developer, you have stood by us and we will stand by you. You are
unambiguously invited as Guest of Honour to the 40th AGM of ACDA taking place on Saturday 4th April
2015 so that together, we can jointly celebrate ACDA at 40 and start using our Multipurpose Community
Centre. I am sure this will be another memorable visit to Alatening.
