GOING TO SEE THE SHOW “Disney Junior Live On Tour!” I am going with ____________________ to see the show Disney Junior Live on Tour: Pirate and Princess Adventure. Seeing a show is like seeing something on TV, or a movie. But the people in a show are right there on the stage. They are called actors. 1 This is a special kind of show called a musical. The actors will tell a story by talking, singing and dancing! I will see Disney Junior Live on Tour: Pirate and Princess Adventure at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. When I get 2 there, I will see big signs that say “The Theater at Madison Square Garden” And “Disney Junior Live on Tour: Pirate and Princess Adventure”. When we enter the building we will take the stairs or the escalator up to the lobby. 3 We may have to stand in line to get into the theatre. I will try to stand nicely and quietly while we wait. 4 Then we will go inside and show our tickets to a person who will tell us where to go. Before we go to our seats, I can ask to use the bathroom. 5 Then we will go inside the theater. The theater is very big. There are a lot of seats in the theater! 6 The numbers on the tickets tell us where we have to sit. It is not a choice. When we get to our seats, I will try to sit down nicely. 7 When it is time for the show to start, someone will ask everyone to turn off their phones. The theatre will get darker and everyone will get quiet. I will try to be as quiet as I can during the show so that everyone can hear the show. When the show starts, I will hear music. If it is too loud, I can cover my ears, wear my headphones, or hold ________________’s hand. When the curtain comes up I will see some of the actors. actors will be wearing costumes and make-up. 8 The If I feel afraid or nervous, I can cover my ears, hold ____________________’s hand, or hug ____________________. After each song, some people will clap. Clapping is nice because it tells the actors you liked their song. If I want to clap, I can. I don’t have to clap if I don’t want to. 9 I will have a lot of fun at the show! singing and dancing. There will be a lot of Sometimes it might be loud. If it is too loud, I can cover my ears, wear my headphones, or hold ____________________’s hand. I know that even though the singing can be loud and can feel scary, none of the noise can hurt me. If I am scared, I can cover my ears, hold ____________________’s hand, or hug ____________________. 10 In the middle of the show, we will have a break. This break is called Intermission. During the break, many people will stand up to go get a drink or to use the bathroom. If I want to, I can ask for a snack or a drink. Concession stands will be open to purchase snacks and drinks. I can also ask to use the bathroom if I need to. 11 There will also be a photo booth available where I can have my picture taken with characters from the show. After the break, everyone will come back and sit down in their seats again. It will get darker and quieter again just like at the 12 beginning of the show. The actors will come back on the stage and finish the show. At the end of the show, all of the actors will come out on stage. This is called a curtain call. Many people will clap a lot so the actors know how much they liked the show. 13 If I want to clap, I can. I don’t have to clap if I don’t want to. If the clapping is too loud, I can cover my ears, wear my headphones, or hold ____________________’s hand. 14 After the show is over we will go down the stairs and exist the Theater at Madison Square Garden. I am very excited to go see Disney Junior Live on Tour: Princess and Pirate Adventure. 15 16
