ELEVENTH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR C 13th JUNE 2010
Dear Parishioners,
‘Christ, the forgiver of sins. We are all sinners and come to Christ for forgiveness. It is
our faith in Christ’s saving power rather than in any observance of the law, which
brings us pardon for our sins. Forgiveness is given to those who love and if we love
Christ then we live a life of peace with God.’(Pope John Sunday Missal).
We welcome into the family of the Church baby Summer Elle Ladbroke who was
recently baptised; and baby Gabriel Joseph Rickard who is to be baptised this Sunday.
The next two baptismal preparation evenings will take place on Wednesday 7th and
Wednesday 14th July at 8.00pm in the Presbytery.
Please pray for our children from Saint Augustine’s School who will make their First
Holy Communion next Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm.We also look forward to
celebrating the Sacrament of Confirmation with our young Parishioners on
Wednesday 23rd June at 7.00pm.
The Piety Stall has a lovely selection of cards and gifts for both First Holy Communion
and Confirmation.
Thank you for your generous response to last weekend’s collection for the Little
Sisters of the Poor.
Thank you also for your support of our joint Summer Fete with Saint Augustine’s
School.
Please remember that we are having a Garden Party on Saturday 17th July in the
Presbytery Gardens. Once again, we would welcome your generous support. Raffle
Tickets are now available and we would be grateful if you would distribute and sell
them.
The Summer edition of the Parish magazine is also available this weekend. We are
sure you will enjoy reading the contents!
At the 6.30pm Mass this Friday evening we will welcome District Members of the Saint
Vincent-de-Paul Society. Refreshments will be available in the Parish Hall afterwards.

Prayer for Priests
Dear Lord,
we pray that the Blessed Mother
wrap her mantle around your priests
and through her intercession
strengthen them for their ministry.
We pray that Mary will guide your priests
to follow her own words,
“Do whatever He tells you” (Jn 2:5).
May your priests have the heart of St. Joseph,
Mary’s most chaste spouse.
May the Blessed Mother’s own pierced heart
inspire them to embrace
all who suffer at the foot of the cross.
May your priests be holy,
filled with the fire of your love
seeking nothing but your greater glory
and the salvation of souls.
