Unless otherwise specified, all classes are open to any breed horse / pony, any age, any height. Hunt Seat traditional English style of showing, with forward seat. To be shown in snaffle, Pelham or double – no martingales or
(
training aids allowed. Saddle Seat - traditional American style of showing, with Lane Fox style saddle and double
bridle. Individual ridden shows are not normally required. Stallions and colts welcome, E
but should be bitted and
under control and to be shown by adults. Horses should be turned out correct for their breed

correct), in all classes. Rosettes will be awarded to 6th place, plus specials. All Trophies are

MUST wear BHS hats in ALL classes. Adult riders should ensure that the Secretary5 is in possession of a
Disclaimer Form (see entry form) for any non-safety conforming traditional headgear. No claim can be entertained
for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers, their property, servants or horses in connection with or
arising out of the show. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant shalloagree to indemnify the
Promoters against any legal action arising out of any incident and to agree to abide by therrules and regulations of
the show and PEC. All competitors must have adequate insurance to cover any incident that may be caused by
them or their animals. The organisers reserve the right to combine, cancel or change the running order of classes on

SKEWBALDS & PIEBALDS (Classes 25 – 33 & 61 – 64 are open to Skewbalds & Piebalds

licensed with the BSPA. All owners/handlers/riders MUST be BSPA members and horses/ponies

It is a condition of entry that all exhibitors agree to abide by the rules & regulations of APHS and the showground. Riders are advised to
wear a BHS secured safety hat at all times when mounted. Should ADULT riders wish to wear traditional non-safety headgear they must
sign to indicate they are aware of our safety policy and choose not to follow it. This will be entirely at their own risk and the Organisers will
not be responsible in anyway for any incident that arises from such actions. All junior riders (under 18) MUST wear a safety hat in all
classes. All exhibitors should have adequate third party insurance for their animals. Deposits may be required for some trophies, which are
held for one year and are to be returned in time for next year’s show. Signature is required by all competitors to indicate agreement of
these rules.
