Principals Message
Bland Sports- Last Friday
Bribbaree
Public
School
ventured
over
to
the
metropolis of Quandialla to
compete in the time honoured
‘Bland Sports’. The sun was
shining the birds were tweeting
you got a sense that spring was
upon us. We went with very
high hopes of winning the
March Past. Our training had
been so timed to the minute
that we had our own crier (Taj)
and drummer (Maddie) that we
assumed it was only a matter of
turning up to claim the coveted trophy. Were we so
ever wrong!
It all went pear shaped the moment the big band
music hit the air waves. The students looked to me
for guidance, I looked at Mrs Robinson (Quandialla)
all the time thinking this is not how we March to the
beat of our own drum! The students to their credit
soldiered on around the oval displaying very little of
our high quality Marching skills. In the end we were
beaten by Quandialla but it was not for the lack of
trying. Well done to everyone on a great March
Past.
At the end of the day some
you win, some you don’t but
I’m glad that I was there with
the students from Bribbaree.
Always there with a smile
saying you’re not alone
singing la la lala que sera!
Congratulations to everybody on a great day. Well
done to;
 Taj - Junior Boy Champion
 Gypsy Junior Girls Champion
 Junior Ball Games
 Bauer Shield- Junior Champion School
 Keir Shield- Senior Champion School
 Blamey Shield – Overall Champion School
Senior Excursion- I hope next week that the
students enjoy the entire week. These excursions
don’t just happen. A lot of time and effort has gone
into the smooth running of the Ballarat excursion. I
would like to thank Red Boots (Mrs Taylor) and
Camera girl (Ms Brown) for all their time and energy
behind the scenes to make this excursion truly
memorable. I would also like to thank the P&C for
their donation to our students. We are very
fortunate to have the support of our wonderful
P&C. Have a wonderful time and remember you are
representing Bribbaree Public School.
Helpers wanted!
We are looking for helpers for the Bribbaree Show
canteen on the Saturday of the long weekend. If you
can contribute a small amount of your time it will be
very much appreciated. Many hands make light
work and the funds raised helps ALL the students.
Have a safe and relaxing holiday.
Cheers
Mrs McMahon

Note from Miss Brown
I would firstly like to thank all the primary students
for the effort with homework this term. Handing it
in on time and completing allocated tasks show your
commitment to your learning. Well Done! This term
students have been working hard learning about
Australian Bushrangers, their eagerness and
dedication has been great and the students have
learnt a lot about our Australian History.
The first lunch stop on our excursion is Glenrowan
which is also a great opportunity for students to see
first- hand where Ned Kelly’s final shootout took
place. I look forward to our Excursion the students
will cherish these experiences for a life time. I would
also like to thank Craig McMahon for giving me the
opportunity to supervise the excursion and Mandy
