Dear Applicant,
Our charitable giving program proudly supports local charity projects and events that serve our
community. We invite you to apply for a contribution to your event or project using this application.
Please clearly explain the purpose of your event or project, the benefit to the community, and how you
will recognize Waste Connections of Washington, Inc. as a donor. For in-kind hauling requests, specify
the exact types and quantity of waste you expect to dispose of.
Waste Connections of Washington, Inc. (Waste Connections) receives hundreds of requests for
donations, sponsorships, and in-kind hauling service annually. Due to the large number of requests,
Waste Connections requires all community events and projects to formally apply using this application
to ensure fair review and consideration. Annual events and projects must reapply each year. You may
add a cover letter, flyer, brochure, or any other supporting documents to help the Charitable Giving
Committee to consider donating to your event. Priority will be given to 501(c)(3) organizations and local
government agencies.
Please submit your request to: ClarkCountyCharitableGiving@wcnx.org. The Charitable Giving
Committee will review your request. You can anticipate a response in 2-3 weeks.
Sincerely,
Charitable Giving Committee
Waste Connections of Washington, Inc.

On the following pages, estimate the amount of material your event or project will produce. The
Charitable Giving committee will determine the size and number of containers to be donated based on
your estimation. If more containers are desired, your organization may purchase additional service.
For events, carefully consider the types of cups, plates, and other packaging you will provide to guests.
These items quickly fill space in your garbage dumpsters and drop-boxes. Reduce your need for garbage
dumpsters and drop-boxes by using durable or recyclable serviceware. Donations of service are more
likely to be awarded to applicants who clearly and thoroughly fill out the next section. Waste reduction
efforts and recycling plans will reflect favorably on your event.
Will your event or project need hauling service for longer than four days?
Yes
No
If yes, explain how long you’ll need containers and how frequently you’ll need service.
Estimate the number of guests each material will be provided to in the “Number of Guests” column.
Multiply by the gallons indicated in next column. Write the total in the “Gallons of Garbage Produced”
column on the far right for each material. Total that column at the bottom of the table. Charitable
Giving will use this estimate to determine the size and quantity of garbage dumpsters/drop-boxes you
will need.
