B. Incumbent Worker Training
1). Anyone new to healthcare informatics field or an
employee already working in the healthcare industry
2). Goal – to reach at least 200 incumbent workers
3). Develop online training program to help with the
conversion to electronic health records (EHR)
 Resources readily available, just need
implementation.
 Specific core competencies taught that
provide fundamental knowledge of the EHR.
 Infuse critical thinking skills and applications.
4). Salary Information
 Entry level starting salary - $10.00/hr. based
on experience; need both coding and
computer skills
 Technician - $10.00 - $15.00/hr.
 IT Project Manager - $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
 Sr. Systems Analyst - $50-$75K per year.
C. Job Fairs
1). Please advise regarding any job fair opportunities.
D. Youth Outreach Program (PCS)
1). Integrate Informatics concepts in 10th grade
 Encourages comfort with technology and
medical terminology comprehension
2). Both Medical Magnet high schools including
Boca Ciega and Palm Harbor University and PTEC
campuses (North & South) have delivered curricular
unit to students
3). Students enjoyed lesson – outstanding feedback
4). Ready to be rolled out for Year 2.
