Announcements Tuesday, March 31, 2015 Senior Retreat (Mandatory for all Seniors not attending Kairos) Grade Level Meetings Bake Sale Romauction Committee Meeting (7:00 PM) Bell 2 GUIDANCE Juniors who have not met with their counselor for an interview are to do so ASAP. Come to the Guidance Office today to request an appointment. It is very important that you discuss your senior course selection, what college admission tests to take and plans for your future career. Any Junior planning on applying to college next year is recommended to take two college admissions tests in their junior year, either the SAT or ACT. There are only a few tests remaining. The next SAT is May 2nd and the registration deadline is Monday, April 6, which is the day after Easter. Be sure to register at Collegeboard.org ASAP. The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College invites one or two students from the junior and/or senior class to participate in their Chocolate Competition and/or their Culinary Competition . Winners will be awarded scholarships to The Restaurant School. Information is available in the Guidance Center. SENIORS If you have not brought your acceptance and scholarship letters and your financial aid information to the Guidance Center, please do so as soon as possible. Remember you receive a candy bar for each acceptance and scholarship letter you receive. From the Literary Magazine - Anyone wishing to contribute to or work on Roamings, the school's literary magazine, should come to the meeting immediately after school tomorrow in Rm. 35. If you're interested in submitting poetry, stories, essays, art, or photographs to the magazine but cannot attend the meeting, please talk to Mr. Gallagher at some point next week. SENIOR PROM Senior Prom tickets are on sale in the Financial Affairs Office. ATTENTION SOPHOMORES AND SENIORS A reminder to all Sophomores and Seniors to return the signed contract from the SADD Assembly from last week. There will be two contracts randomly selected for $25 gift cards. The tshirts are short sleeved and long sleeved and come in several colors. FOOTBALL Football will test in the weight room this week. Sophomores test today. Juniors test tomorrow. BASEBALL Both the Varsity and JV teams had wins over Landsdale Catholic with the following scores: Varsity Roman 7 Lansdale Catholic 3 JV Roman 16 Lansdale Catholic 9 VOLLEYBALL Volleyball lost to Lansdale Catholic 0-3 yesterday. The team learns from the loss and will look for wins after the Easter holiday. We will have 4 matches in a row next week starting with home match against Prep Monday 4/6 3:45 PM. Come on out to cheer us on. LACROSSE Varsity and JV both with tough loses yesterday against Cardinal O'Hara. Varsity final: 14-7 and JV final: 10-0. Next game is tomorrow against Archbishop Wood at the Kroc Center. TENNIS Roman fell to Central 0-5 on Friday, but rebounded on Monday for a 5-0 victory over Bonner. Singles winners included Sebastain Lipinski, Leland Thompson, and Mike Hopkins. Doubles winners included Matt Camunas and Joe Brighter as well as Mario Millares and Matt Anticoli. The team travels to Haverford HS today for its 3rd match. TITLE ONE TUTORING Title one Tutoring will resume after the Easter break. ARAMARK A reminder to all that we are in the Lenten season, no meat will be served at lunch on Fridays.
