“Her inspirational Story”
Migrant and Refugee Women’s contributions and achievements to
life in Hume Celebrating International Women’s Day
“Her inspirational Story” is a Project of Migrant and Refugee women to
celebrate International Women’s Day. “Her inspirational Story” will be launched on
Monday 5th March 2012 at the Hume Global Learning Centre, Broadmeadows.
The Project:
Migrant and Refugee women are invited to share their stories of contributions to life
in Hume, of participation, inspiration, making a difference, and achievements. The
stories will be documented in Albums and kept at the Hume Global Learning Centre.
More migrant and refugee women will be encouraged to visit the centre and write
their stories over the year.
How can women share their stories?
Migrant and refugee women are invited to write their stories of participation and
contributions in the Australian society, how they made a difference and continue to
make a difference for social justice, women’s rights and multicultural Australia; their
achievements and how they inspired others and or were inspired by women. The
women are invited to write their stories for the launch of “Her inspirational Story” on
Monday 5th March 2012. The stories can be handwritten or typed; they can be written
in English or in their native language. All stories will be displayed at the Hume Global
Learning Centre, Broadmeadows in the designated Albums.
Please send your stories by mail to VIRWC, level 1, 210 Lonsdale St, Melbourne
