Fifteenth Annual Arts Exhibition
After a successful show last year, the Southwick Cultural Council is pleased to invite all local artists to
submit their artwork for consideration in our Fifteenth Annual Arts Exhibition.

May 3-4, 2014
Southwick Town Hall, 454 College Highway, Southwick, MA
PURPOSE:
Provides an opportunity for area residents to enjoy the visual arts and to promote the
regional artisans. Over 1000 people attended last year’s exhibit and we anticipate equal or
greater attendance this year.
Eligibility & Media
The juried exhibition is open to fine arts, fine art crafts (sculpture, pottery) and photography in all
subject matter and media. Originals, limited editions, and open editions are allowed.
Rules of Entry
 Three sample photos of your artwork are required for consideration (prints are acceptable). Only
three samples will be considered. The photos must be labeled with the artist's name and phone
number, medium and size of work. The photos should represent accurately the type of artwork to
be entered in the Exhibition, but do not have to be the actual pieces to be displayed in the show.
Electronic submissions may be made by sending three electronic submissions to
Cultural@southwickma.net. Please label each submission with your name, title and medium. 8”
long direction, jpg format, 200dpi.

Each artist will be allotted a minimum of approximately 4’-0" x 6'-0" area of wall space in which
to exhibit (or table space for pottery). The Southwick Cultural Council reserves the right to
modify space allotted.
Fees
A non-refundable $ 25.00 application fee must be remitted along with your photo. Make check
payable to Town of Southwick with Southwick Cultural Council noted in the memo area. If your work is
being submitted electronically, the entry form and check must be received via regular mail by the
submission due date. Artists accepted by the jury will have their work appropriately hung in an indoor
gallery. It will be displayed in an advertised event for 2 days. The event will be staffed by Southwick
Cultural Council members. Artists do not need to be present during the show.

Sales
Artwork can be sold and NO commission will be charged. If desired, council members will sell your
work at the price that you have designated, and hold the payment for you until the end of the show.
