B.A. in Mathematics

A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Mathematics is designed for students seeking an exposure to advanced mathematics as part of a broad-based liberal arts curriculum. It is particularly suitable for students interested in pursuing graduate study in mathematics or related disciplines. Students in this program are strongly encouraged to participate in undergraduate research and to spend one semester at Harlaxton College.

Program Requirements

This degree requires the completion of at least 120 semester hours, including at least 48 hours of general education (with proficiency in a foreign language at the second year level), at least 33 hours of mathematics, and at least 6 hours of computer science. Many students select a minor in an area related to mathematics or even in a completely unrelated area of interest. A typical minor would require 18 to 24 credit hours.
