Analysis Proposal 1. Title of proposal Please give a succinct descriptive title for the proposal. 2. Study team Please list all collaborators (lead investigator named first). 3. Background Describe the rationale for the project including a brief literature review and key references. This should normally cover no more than 1 page of A4. 4. Proposed analysis Summarise the proposed analysis, relating it to the Background section. Please include inclusion criteria and methods of analysis. This should normally cover no more than 1 page of A4. 5. Intended start date and completion date Completion date refers to date by which you hope to have submitted the main manuscript. 6. Variables required Please list all variables required from UK HIV Drug Resistance Database and (if required) UK CHIC. A list of available variables and data structures can be obtained from the Coordinating Centre. 7. Feasibility assessment Please state the results of any preliminary analyses to establish whether the proposed analysis is feasible, particularly in terms of sample size, or explain why this has not been undertaken. Please contact the Coordinating Centre for advice if required. 8. Resource required -1- Please state if statistical support or other resources are required to conduct the proposed analysis (although this cannot always be guaranteed). Proposals utilising variables from the UK CHIC study need additional approval from the UK CHIC Steering Committee. We will endeavour to provide requested data within 8 weeks of the submission of the application. 2. Each Lead Investigator is normally allowed to have only one “active” proposal at any one time. 3. A principle of the Collaboration is to encourage the involvement of investigators from other centres with expertise in the question of interest. 4. Researchers whose proposals are approved are required to follow the agreed Principles of Collaboration in terms of authorship, data security, etc. 5.
