STONE fair in Poznań is a great place to see stone processing machines in action, natural stone from around the world or tools and equipment designed for stonemasons. The fair will be held at MTP fairgrounds on 26-
29.11.2014. More than one hundred exhibitors will take part in the fair, including: Breton, CMG Macchine,
Caro, Emmaboda Granit AB, Euro-Granit Adamus, Finnstone, GMM, Gozdek, Inbra Poland, Interstone, JP
Granite, Mach Plus, MC Diam, Mekanika, MP Steneko, TGR, Tiera Naturalstones and Weha. Two exhibition halls of more than 5000 m2 will be provided for representatives of stone industry companies from Poland and 10 other countries, including: Italy, India, China, Russia and South Africa. STONE fairs are held under the patronage of the Minister of Economy.

The Test Zone is a place where masons may test tools and equipment for stone processing (e.g. 3D scanner,
WaterJet machine) or check the properties of various stone materials such as waxed concrete. 3D Artec
SCANNER is a tool for secure and non-contact digitizing of sculptures and ornaments. The scanner may be used for preparing precise documentation of a measured object or for making its copy using CNC milling technology or 3D printing. (Exhibitor: 3D MASTER s.c. R. Lis R. Ciré - a product with features attractive both for housewives and interior designers. It is an "unbreakable" water-resistant material, provided in wide range of colours, which is easy in maintenance and use. It is perfect for kitchen and living room or lounge. "Sanding Master" is an annual competition organized by ABRA company and "Swiat Kamienia" magazine. The competition for the title of the most skilful stonemason will be held on 26-29 November 2014. It will include a
"time trial" in all stages of inscription making i.e.: designing graphics in Corel, cutting out letters on the plotter for hard sanding, gluing the foil template to a stone slab and the sanding process. The winner is the participant who completes the task in the shortest time and in the most precise manner.

On Thursday and Friday (27,28 November 2014), the fair organisers, together with the editors of "Nowy
Kamieniarz" magazine, will organize a workshop for architecture students and young designers "Young Designer
Workshop: Stone". Students will have the opportunity to participate in lectures of Polish and foreign specialists in the creative use of stone in architectural projects. In addition, the participants will be able to consult all matters related to stone structure and processing techniques with the STONE Fair exhibitors. Then, based on the knowledge gained, they will prepare a draft design of a stone element in one of three categories: table top, open or gadget. The overall objective of the project is to present possibilities offered by natural stone to future architects and designers. The project is planned as an experience exchanging platform for designers and stone industry representatives who wish to explore new ideas for using stone in interior design, which is the most profitable segment of the masonry.

All persons interested in stone mosaic are invited to take part in "stone benching". In Hall 8a, during the four days of the fair, Lubosz Karwat with his team will create a mosaic bench in the shape of MTP logo. The completed bench will weigh approximately 400 kg. The makers of the bench will use 100 kg of adhesive and 12 square metres of stone tiles.
The completed bench will be installed in the MTP garden next to the PCC Congress Centre (Hall 15) or in the Linden
Avenue. "Stone Benching" is open also to all visitors to STONE fair. Saturday (November 29) will be the day of FREE

The exhibition is a result of a photo workshop organised on 11-12 October, 2014 in the granite quarry in Strzegom and in stone processing plant in Pieszyce. GLOBGRANIT company invited a group of photographers assembled around
FOTSPOT project to visit and take photos within its premises. After a thorough selection process, supervised by the exhibition curator Dr Sławomir Tobis, 22 photographs were selected for the display. Visitors of the STONE fair are also invited to take part in trainings and consultations prepared in cooperation with the
Wielkopolska Agency for Enterprise Development. Participation in the trainings is free (for all STONE fair ticket holders).



"JEREMIE initiative - non-grant support for companies from Wielkopolska" (Thursday 27 November, 11.00am-
12.00noon, the conference hall in 8A)

Visit the exchange to see various precious stones and minerals or to buy jewellery made with stone elements - bracelets, necklaces, rings and brooches and other stone decorative items. You will find also many items for making your own original hand-made jewellery. → Special zone, Hall 8a.

STONE fair admission ticket is valid also for two other events: SAKRALIA - Trade Fair of Church Furnishings, Liturgical
Objects and Devotional Items (26-28.11.2014) and MEMENTO Funeral Fair (28-30.11.2014) held at MTP fairgrounds.
Moreover, the ticket price includes the parking free at the fairgrounds. All fair visitors will also have a chance to win four double stays in a SPA centre.
