GUIDANCE
Junior Interviews are taking place in the Guidance Department. All juniors are encouraged
to make an appointment with their counselor by going to the Guidance Office and filling out
an appointment slip. Take advantage of this opportunity to discuss your senior course
selection and plans for your future career.
Any senior who would like their semester grades or January, February SAT scores sent out
to schools, please stop by the Guidance Office.
SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS
You are invited to attend the Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week. This is a tremendous and
inexpensive summer program. Information about the program and the applications are
available in the Guidance Center.
ATTENTION ALL SENIORS
Due to a scheduling conflict with the PCL Basketball Championship Game, the annual
Senior Parent/Student Night (originally scheduled for February 23rd ) has been
rescheduled for Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 7PM. This is a very important meeting. Among
the topics that will be discussed are guidance, academics, discipline, Prom, Baccalaureate
Mass, and Graduation. Given the importance of the information that will be discussed, this
meeting is MANDATORY. All Senior students MUST attend together with at least 1
parent/guardian.
ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS
A reminder that the annual Junior Parent/Student Meeting will take place on
Monday, March 9, 2015 at 7PM. This is a MANDATORY meeting for those who have
purchased a school ring and/or who are planning on attending the Junior Prom. All
Junior students in either or both of these categories MUST attend together with at least
1 parent/guardian.
Freshman/Sophomore Dance:
The Freshman/Sophomore Dance is scheduled for Friday, March 13th at 7PM. Permission
forms are available in the Student Affairs Office. Once permission forms are completed they
must be approved by the Student Affairs Office prior to tickets ($30 per couple) being
purchased in the Financial Affairs Office. ALL TICKETS NEED TO BE PURCHASED
BY Tuesday, March 10, 2015.
Winter Sports Awards Assembly/Reception
Our Winter Sports Awards Assembly/Reception will take place at RCHS on Monday, March
16th. Admission is $10 per person. The Awards Assembly will begin in the gym at 6:30
PM and will honor Freshman, JV, and Varsity teams from our Winter Sports. Letters, MVP
and All Catholic honors will be presented. The Awards Assembly will be followed by a
reception. Tickets need to be purchased in the Financial Affairs Office no later than the end
of the school day on Thursday, March 12th. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.
Student dress code for this event is the winter uniform.
WIZARD OF OZ
ALL WIZARD OF OZ Stage Crew will have a work session today from 3:00 to 6:00pm at
Hallahan. All must be present for this.
WRESTLING
There will be a brief end of season meeting for ALL wrestlers today after school in the
annex
BASEBALL
All who intend to tryout for baseball please check romanbaseball.com for all changes to the
tryout schedule.
VOLLEYBALL
Tryouts for Freshman/Sophomores will take place today 3-6pm in the Roman gym.
Tryouts for Juniors/Seniors will take place tomorrow 3-6pm in the Roman gym.
Thursday March 5, tryouts for all grades 3-6pm @ Lloyd Hall (1 Boathouse Row,
Philadelphia) by the Art Museum. Players are encouraged to participate in at least 2 tryout
sessions. If you cannot make any session, please email Coach Ping at
volleyball@romancatholichs.com to schedule a makeup tryout.
Attention all Senior Business Students:
If you are a senior and you've had at least one Business Dept. elective class, you are eligible
to compete for the one Roman representative at the Trumark Financial Jeopardy Game.
This game is a fun, live action competition testing your financial literacy. If you represent
Roman, you and your 2 guests will enjoy a dinner followed by the competition, and you are
guaranteed a cash prize. The winner earns $5,000 in scholarship money and the runner-up
wins $1,000. If you are interested see your Business teacher for details.
S.A.D.D.
There will be a general membership meeting for all S.A.D.D. members on Thursday, March
5th. All are welcome.
SPEAK-UP
Speak Up will take place on Tuesday, March 10th at 6:30 at Roman Catholic. Please preregister for the event atwww.speakup.org, the link is also available on our website. Please
encourage your parents to attend as well!
Title One Tutoring
Title One Tutoring will take place tomorrow and Thursday this week in room 38.
SENIOR PROM
Senior Prom Meeting today after 8th Period in room 41.
JUNIOR PROM
There will be a meeting for all juniors interested in being on the Junior Prom Committee
today after 8th period in Room 44. All are welcome.

Father Casey- 8th period dismissed
Mr. Cameron- 2nd period to the library, 4th, 6th, 7th periods to the class, 8th period dismissed
with assignment.
Ms. Gallagher- 7th period to the library, 8th period to the class.
Mrs. Toman-Logan- 4th period to the library, 7th period to the class.
