AGREEMENT APPROVING THE REPORTS OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
MINISTERIAL COUNCIL, THE SECRETARY GENERAL, THE CHAIRMEN OF
THE SPECIAL COMMITTEES, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL OF
NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES OF THE SPECIAL FUND AND THE WORK
PROGRAMME OF THE ASSOCIATION OF CARIBBEAN STATES (ACS) FOR
THE 2006-2007 BIENNIUM
The Ministerial Council,
Pursuant to:
Article XIV, paragraph 3 and Article XV of the Convention Establishing the
Association of Caribbean States;
Agreement No. 7/95 of the Ministerial Council;
The Declaration of Margarita and the Plan of Action approved by the 3rd Summit
of ACS Heads of State and/or Government, held in Margarita Island, Venezuela,
on December 11-12, 2001;
Agreement No. 1/04 of the Ministerial Council;
Considering:
The recommendations and decisions of the 9th Intersessional Preparatory
Meeting;
The Report of the Chairman of the Ministerial Council;
The Annual Report of the Secretary General;
The Reports presented by the Chairmen of the Special Committees and the
Chairman of the Council of National Representatives of the Special Fund;

Agrees:
1.
To approve the Report presented by the Chairman of the Ministerial
Council (ACS/2005/CM.XI/MC/CR);
2.
To approve the Report of
(ACS/2005/CM.XI/SGR/rev.2);
3.
To approve the Reports presented by the Chairmen of the Special
Committees and the Chairman of the Council of National Representatives
of the Special Fund (ACS/2005/CM.XI/CR/TRANSP; SUST. TOUR;
NAT.DIS; TRADE; B&A; FONDO);
4.
To take note of the revised ACS Work Programme for the 2006-2007
biennium prepared by the Secretariat (ACS/2005/CM.XI/WP.001/rev.1);
5.
To take note of the ACS Work Programme for the 2006-2007 biennium
prepared by the Secretariat and issue instructions for it to be revised in
accordance with the decisions approved by the 4th Summit of ACS Heads
of State and /or Government, held in Panama City, Panama, on July 29,
2005 (ACS/2005/CM.XI/WP.002/rev.1)
6.
That the 26th Meeting of the Executive Board of the Ministerial Council
would revise the Association’s Work Programme for the 2006-2007
biennium;
7.
To instruct the Special Committee on Budget and Administration to
convene the 6th Extraordinary Meeting, following the 26th Meeting of the
Executive Board of the Ministerial Council, to revise the Association’s
Budget for 2006, in accordance with this Agreement and the revised Work
Programme for 2006;
8.
To authorise the 10th Intersessional Preparatory Meeting to adopt a
decision regarding the recommendations of the 26th Meeting of the
Executive Board of the Ministerial Council and the 6th Extraordinary
Meeting of the Special Committee on Budget and Administration, with
respect to the revision of the Association’s Work Programme and Budget
for 2006 and authorise the 10th Intersessional Preparatory Meeting to
make the necessary amendments to the ACS Work Programme for 2006.
