International conference Programme AUtism 2016 Friday 1st April 2016 Psychoanalytical Perspective Prague 1st – 3rd April 2016 15:00 16:00 16:15 17:45 18:00 - 16:00 - 16:15 - 17:45 - 18:00 - 19:30 registration welcome Michel Grollier (F): “Trust in the Subject with Autism” break discussion groups Saturday 2nd April 2016 The conference builds on previous international events organized by CSPAP’s Child and Adolescent Individual Section, and on lively and enriching cooperation with foreign colleagues – child psychoanalytical psychotherapists – especially those from Great Britain. The theme of April´s conference will focus on problems of children (and adults) with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). Czech and foreign experts will present their papers. Emphasis of the conference will be placed on presenting clinical material and on learning about psychoanalytical perspective on autism and treatment of children with ASD. We believe that psychoanalysis can contribute to understanding these children and bring relief both to them and their caregivers. Apart from lectures, the conference will include discussion groups and social program. The event is open to all psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, other medical specialists, teachers, assistants, and other professionals who work with children (and adults) with autism. Additionally, we plan on dedicating the Summer 2017 issue of The Review of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy to autism. Currently, he works in children and youth care facilities in Britain. Psychoanalyst, member of the AMP (World Association of Psychoanalysis). Research in psychopathology, educational sciences, social psychology, pathological and clinical psychology. Articles in journals, chapters in scientific books. Expert for various journals. Since May 2015, elected President of the Academic Council of the University Rennes. PhDr. Iva Macková (CZ) – She was born in Prague where she has been living and working till now. She studied psychology at Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. She is a certified clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, certified psychoanalytical psychotherapist for children and adolescents, a full member of CSPAP, a deputy head of child section and a delegate for EFPP, a certified graduate of Fulbright Program at City University of New York. Since 1993 she has a private practice focused primarily on work with children and adolescents. May Nilsson (SWE) – child and adolescent psychotherapist, teacher and supervisor at the Erica foundation in Stockholm. She is a Swedish delegate for EFPP, child section. She has published in Journal of Child Psychotherapy, JICAP and Swedish journals of child and adolescent psychotherapy. She has been visiting faculty lecturer at IPTAR, New York and has given lectures in several conferences abroad. She has been main conductor for a training project in Ukraine. She is a member of the editorial council of International Psychiatric, Psychotherapeutic and Psychoanalytical Journal. Mgr. Naděžda Okenicová (SK) – she studied special education at Faculty of education, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. Since 2006 she has been dealing with children and young people with autism – Asperger syndrome. Since 2010 she has been a candidate of a training in psychoanalytical psychotherapy, child section of CSPAP. Currently she works in an Autistic centre Andreas in Bratislava. Lydia Tischler (GB) - Graduated from the Hampstead Child Psychotherapy Training (now the Anna Freud Centre). Was Principal Child Psychotherapist, the Cassel Hospital for 23 years where she had the opportunity to work with mothers and their infants and young children and to observe their development. Held a number of positions in the ACP (Association of Child Psychotherapists) and BAP (British Association of Psychotherapists). She has taught and supervised child psychotherapists and other professionals in England and abroad. She has taken part in conferences in the Czech Republic. Was co-founder, representing the ACP on the EFPP. Helped to develop Child Psychotherapy training in the Czech Republic. Petr Třešňák (CZ) - He studied journalism and West European Studies at Charles University. Shortly, he worked in ecological non-governmental organizations. Since 2001 he has been working in a weekly magazine Respekt; currently he is a deputy editor. He engages especially in health and social topics. He obtained two European and several Czech journalistic awards for his articles. He is a Ferdinand Peroutka award laureate for the year 2015. Currently he writes a book in essayistic style about upbringing of his daughter with autism and mental retardation with a working title Sounds of Awakening.
