WESTMINSTER CITY COUNCIL
STATEMENT OF DECISION
Subject: The Local Development Framework: Publication Draft Core Strategy
Notice is hereby given that Councillor Robert Davis, Cabinet Member for the Built
Environment has made the following executive decision on the above mentioned
subject for the reason set out below.
Summary of Decision:
1. That the following documents be approved and published to comply with
Regulation 27 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development)
(England) Regulations 2004 as amended:
a. Publication Draft Core Strategy (attached as Appendix 1 to the report)
b. Proposals Map (attached as Appendix 2 to the report)
c. Sustainability Appraisal (attached as Appendix 3 to the report)
d. Consultation Statement (attached as Appendix 4 to the report)
2. That authority be given to the Strategic Director Built Environment to:
(a) agree minor editorial changes as required to the above documents;
(b) make further changes if deemed necessary to the Sustainability Appraisal
and Consultation Statement;
(c) prepare such ancillary procedural documents, including the “statement of
representations procedure” as are required by the Regulations;
(d) approve the list of `supporting documents’ which should be made
available for public inspection and sent to the specific and general
consultation bodies in accordance with the Regulations.
3. That the Publication Draft Core Strategy attached as Appendix 1 to the report
be approved and sent to the Mayor for an opinion on general conformity with
the London Plan to comply with Regulation 29 of the Town and Country
Planning (Local Development)(England) Regulations 2004 as amended.
Reason for Decision:
The report seeks approval to publish the Publication Draft Core Strategy and
Proposals Map for formal notification, and that an opinion is sought from the Mayor
on the general conformity of the Publication Draft Core Strategy with the London
Plan, prior to Submission to the Secretary of State (Appendix 1 and Appendix 2).
Approval is also sought to publish the Sustainability Appraisal (Appendix 3) of the
Publication Draft Core Strategy and the Consultation Statement (Appendix 4) as
required by The Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England)
Regulations 2004 as amended.
