FIRST PRESBYTERIAN PRESCHOOL
August 1-5th 9-11:30am Wiggle Worms
Need an activity idea over the summer break for your Wiggle Worms! We have the solution! Join
Little Scholars in this class designed just for preschoolers. We will explore the world of fine motor
skills and reading through fun and interactive lessons! Course includes: sensory experiences, visual
motor skills, scissor cutting, drawing a person, writing our name, gross motor skills and LOTS of
literacy building activities! This class includes a snapshot of your child's skills and abilities. $150
August 1-5th 1-3:30pm Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes
What do crab races and pencil grip have in common? Come find out with Little Scholars! We
explore the world of fine motor skills through fun and interactive activities involving sensory

motor skills. This class is designed for four to six year olds. This class includes a snapshot of your

the fall of 2011 or preparing for Independent school testing. This class includes a snapshot of your
child's skills and abilities. $150

specialist for a class geared towards a girl's way of thinking. We will explore the world of reading
and writing so you can be sure to start your school year off on the right foot! This class is open to
girls who are rising 1st-3rd graders and limited to five participants. $125

MIDDLE SCHOLARS AT LITTLE SCHOLARS' LEARNING ACADEMY

Come and explore a variety of themes in literature and reading pieces in both an individual and
group setting to develop interpretations, make connections and critically examine short stories.
Students will leave this course with a better understanding of how to analyze literature and enjoy
reading beyond initial understanding, as they get set on their way to a lifetime love of reading! $125
June 6-10th 1-3pm Math Olympics
Welcome to Math Olympics! Come experience our Summer Olympic Games by bringing math to the
sports arena. This class will review middle school math concepts through fun and engaging small
group games. We will focus on using a variety of learning styles, hands-on-activities, and
manipulatives to help promote confidence in problem solving and computation skills. Every student
is sure to leave Math Olympics with a medal! $125
June 13-17th 9-11am Creative Writing Workshop
Have you ever wanted to be editor-in-chief of a magazine? Now is your chance! Join us in
collaborating to design, create and present hip, new magazines. The class will work together to
explore current events, hot topics and common interests that will become themes of these new
magazines. You will use computers and literature to research and create a variety of articles, and
magazine components. Magazines will include expository and persuasive elements as well as offer
students an opportunity to express themselves through poetry and narrative writing. Complete with
biographies, editorials and advertisements these magazines are sure to provide students with a
great opportunity to create something unique and fun! $125

Welcome to Math Olympics! Come experience our Summer Olympic Games by bringing math to the
sports arena. This class will review middle school math concepts through fun and engaging small
group games. We will focus on using a variety of learning styles, hands-on-activities, and
manipulatives to help promote confidence in problem solving and computation skills. Every student
is sure to leave Math Olympics with a medal! $125

guidance than they get in the classroom as they navigate the road of study skills. As your child
becomes more independent, we will provide them strategies most compatible with their learning
style to get them organized, taking good notes and studying effectively. $125
