Agreement on Revising Manuscript
By Dr. Corrigan for PhD studentts of School of Physics and Microelectronics
To enhance the quality of publications of students of school of physics and microelectronics
(hereafter called School), the School and Dr Timothy D Corrigan (hereafter called Tim) reached
the following agreement on revising manuscripts of the PhD students in the School.
1.
Responsibility Right of Tim: Edit the English language of the manuscript, but not the physics.
Tim reserves the right to refuse a paper at any time for any reason.
2.
Requirement of the manuscript: Final version of the manuscript before submission to Journal,
or after submission but requires revision of the English as requested by the referee. The
advisor of the student shall have the responsibility to make sure the manuscript is in its final
version, ready for submission except for English editing. The specific format requirements
of the journal of submission are the responsibility of the authors. If the manuscript has been
returned by the referee, the referee’s comments will be given to Tim along with the
manuscript.
3.
Payment: First 700 RMB for editing the manuscript, and 300 RMB after the paper either is
published or rejected without complaint of the English by the referee or Editor of the Journal.
The payment is on a per paper basis (normal 4-8 journal pages).
4.
Time or number manuscript: not more than one paper a week (not more than two half days a
week together with the author if needed). Total number of manuscripts should not be less
than 10 per semester. The manuscript should be sent to Tim via the Research Officer of the
School Miss Zhang Hai-Ying, e-mail: wllzhy@sdu.edu.cn.
5. Dr. Tim has the duty to keep the research content of the manuscript secret before it is
published
