Items Accepted at the Regional Recycling Center
Paper
Products:
Newsprint, magazines, junk mail, shiny inserts, paper egg cartons,
and all books. Cereal boxes, 12-pack cartons go in with corrugated
cardboard. No waxy cardboard, such as milk cartons.
Glass:
Clear and brown containers only. Separate by color, rinse, out, and
remove lids. Labels do not need to be removed. No window glass.
Plastic:
Rinsed out and lids removed. Labels do not need to be removed. We can
now take plastic bags. No motor oil containers.
Metal Cans: Rinsed out and lids removed. Cans do not need to be flattened. Labels do
not need to be removed.
Aluminum: Foil, pie plates, etc., need to be clean and placed with metal cans.
Corrugated Clean with no wax coating. Cereal boxes and 12-pack containers belong
Cardboard: here. Clean pizza boxes are accepted.
Brown
Sacks:
Kraft brown paper sacks, grocery sacks are to be put with corrugated
cardboard.
Office
Paper:
All typing and copier paper is acceptable. For your convenience, paper can
be put with other paper products. We can also accept shredded paper.
Clothing
& Shoes:
Clean used clothing will be sent to third world countries to help the needy.
Computers: Computers are accepted, but there is a $15 charge.
