6th INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION OF YOUNG MUSICIANS
“OHRID PEARLS”- OHRID
The second international competition of young musicians “Ohrid Pearls” will take
place in Ohrid from 16 - 20 June 2007.
The following disciplines will be included:
WOOD WINDS:
BRASS INSTRUMENETS:
FLUTE
TRUMPET
SAXOPHONE
TROMBONE
KLARINET
HORN
OBOE
ACCORDEON
RULES:
1. The competition is public without any compensation for radio and TV broadcasting
2. The competitors will be judged by an international jury consisting of 5 top music
pedagogues
3. Once stated the jury’s decisions are final
4. The members of the jury are forbidden to grade candidates with whom they are
related or have any professional connections
5. The first prize will be awarded to one competitor only
6. The jury reserves the right not to award all the prizes
7. The rounds of the competition are of eliminatory character.

1. Filled application form with attached short biography of the applicant
2. Copy of an ID document (passport, personal ID card) or an original birth
certificate.

The travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the competitors
The competitors should provide their own piano accompaniment
If the competitor can not provide accompaniment a professional one will be provided,
for a fee of 20 Euros First category

The competitors that are requiring accompaniment to be provided by the organizer
should include all the scores with the application form.

2. One piece of own choice. (Individual movements from cyclic works are
acceptable)
 Round II
(maximum 15 minutes playing time)
1. D. Scarlatti: Sonata;
2. Cyclic work.
The program must include one original work for accordion.
Third category (born 1982 or later)

Round I
1. D. Scarlatti: Sonata;
2. J. S. Bach: Prelude and Fugue;
3. One piece of own choice.

Round II
Own-choice program in duration of maximum 30 minutes, including one complete
original cyclic work for the accordion.
The whole program must be preformed by heart
