Previously National Director of Artswork, youth arts development agenecy she has also has worked for Arts Council England on national youth arts initiatives, and for many other youth and arts organisations including NESTA, NSDF (National Student Drama Festival) Youth Music, and the Princes’ Trust/National Youth Agency. She has a wide knowledge and understanding of the arts and young people having worked as practitioner, project manager, trainer, evaluator, and in consultancy/advisory roles in this sector. She is regarded as a leading advocate for participatory youth arts, and has published books and articles, as well as speaking at national conferences and seminars. She is currently working as a national associate with Trinity Guildhall and Arts Council England developing and delivering a new Arts Award pilot for the proposed Arts Award Welcome scheme, and recently produced nine advocacy roadshows across England. She is an Arts Award Senior Moderator and trainer.
