- This is a companion blog site for the Fall 2011 India Study Abroad
program which involved six participants and one professor. The theme of
the trip was mindfulness and counseling. During their time abroad, the
group used netbooks and 3G dongles to connect online in remote villages
via mobile infrastructure.

SEU. This cutting-edge communications course was launched in Fall
2007, and offers students the chance to explore emerging social media

Teaching and Learning with LifeSize Technology: A videoconferencing pilot
project between St. Edward's University Austin and Angers, France.
- In this pilot, two classes were taught via point-to-point simulcast between
Austin and Angers. Students learned from the course content, and
through the opportunity to experience the technology.

Program in Angers, France. In summer, 2011, 14 SEU students studied
French in Angers and took classes on social media and mass media.
Team Space: A Practical Way of Improving Student Ability to Function as a Team
- Team Space is a tool that is designed to help students learn how to work
as a team. Team Space provides an opportunity for instructors to reflect
and share the reasons for using team assignments, apply a methodology
that can be used in the classroom to improve student teams, establish a
feedback and accountability process, and provide students with the
opportunity to give and receive feedback throughout the class.

iPads for hands-on Graphics Design: Kim Garza (pending Spring 2012)
- In this pilot, graphics design students will integrate known design tools
with tablet computing devices and apps to explore the potential of touch
interaction, create a testable prototype of an application without the need
for coding, and in the process mimic collaborative working environments.
World of Warcraft for Spanish Language Learning: Cory Lyle (pending Spring
2012)
- In this pilot, a small group of students will work with the instructor and
Instructional Technology staff to explore how game play in World of
Warcraft (WoW) can support language learning. Students will use the
Spanish version of WoW on the Latin American servers to play the game
and communicate with others in Spanish.
