Your Assignment: Your assignment is to design a wedding. Every detail and all
planning is up to you! All of your plans will be placed into a notebook as they are turned
in. This is based on the following concept. You are both, the client and the florist!
Always keep this in mind. From the client’s point of view, you need to determine what
you would want and like to have in your wedding. From the florist’s point of view, you
need to determine how you are going to be able to accomplish the things that to client
desires.
General Instructions: This is a typed document. Wedding notebooks not typed will
not be accepted. You will have class time available. Use it! All projects will be placed
into the bridal notebooks as they are accomplished. You may include additional
information. Creativity and appearance are important!

The following items need to be included in this section of your wedding project.
 Cover Page
Should include: your name, Floral Design, Plano Senior High School, Ms. Boles
– Instructor
 Name of bride and groom
These are the only names required. You may use any names you
wish. Attach a photograph of the bride & groom.
 Detailed breakdown of the wedding party
Numbers of bridesmaids, maids of honor, groomsman, best man, flower girls,
mothers, grandmothers, etc.
 Color Scheme of wedding
Include swatches of fabric or color pictures of wedding. Label the
colors. You can get these at bridal shops or fabric stores. They cost a $1 each at
David’s Bridal.
 Picture(s) of bride’s dress. Cut them out of magazines or print off the
internet. Neatly glue or tape them to a page of paper. Style of the dress,
material the dress is made out of, color of the dress, designer, and price.
 Picture(s) of the bridesmaid(s) dress(es). Cut them out of magazines
or print off the internet. Neatly glue or tape them to a page of
paper. . You will need to have colors and styles of apparel listed. Price for each of
the bridesmaid apparel. Price
 Picture of groom’s apparel. Cut them out of magazines or print off the
Internet. Neatly glue or tape them to a page of paper. . You will need to have colors
and styles of apparel listed. Price.
 Pictures of the groomsmen apparel. Cut them out of magazines or print
off the internet. Neatly glue or tape them to a page of paper. . You will need to have
colors and styles of apparel listed. Price for each of the groomsmen apparel.

Wedding Cake(s). Cut them out of magazines or print off the internet. Neatly glue or
tape them to a page of paper. You will need to have flavor of cake, icing flavor,
company name, and a price for the cake.

Project III- Facility Layout with Floral

 Line diagram of the interior of the wedding location. Label all internal structures such
as pews, aisles, pulpits, pianos, organs, balconies, etc. Ask the pastor/priest/person
renting the facility. Sometimes they already have a diagram. You do not need to be a
professional artist, but do take some time to do this. Use a straight edge, print clearly
and be neat. Locate on the drawing any floral decorations being used. You must have at
least 3 types of floral designs.
 Line diagram of the interior of the reception location. Label all internal structures
such as tables, seating, service areas, etc. Ask the pastor/priest/person renting the
facility. Sometimes they already have a diagram. You do not need to be a professional
artist, but do take some time to do this. Use a straight edge, print clearly and be neat.
Locate on the drawing any floral decorations being used. You must have at least 3 types
of floral designs.
