Request for $115 to purchase Visa gift cards for panelists (approved: 4-0) 2. Request for $65 to purchase food for event (approved: 4-0) Conference Funding Requests for Students: 1. Request for $200 to pay for MSW student Stephanie Socco to attend conference (approved: 4-0) 2. Request for $150 to pay for MSW student Jennifer Geniakowski to attend related training) (approved: 4-0) Waiting on conference grant agreement to be signed and other supporting documents from attending students 3. Request for $200/student for up to 2 students to attend UN Social Work Day (approved: 4-0) Graduation Speaker: 1. Request for $500 to pay as honorarium to Ronald Schoelerman for speaking at graduation (approved: 4-0) 2. Request for $25 to pay for transportation (mileage/gas) for speaker to attend graduation (approved 40) We will need to complete Lecturer Service Agreement form to process this. Funds for Phi Theta Epsilon Documentary showing collaboration: 1. Request for $25 to co-sponsor with Phi Theta Epsilon a documentary viewing of “Alive Inside” (approved 4-0) CONCLUSIONS Carla will follow through on processing payments for purchasing all the above TOPIC 3 Awards for Recipients at Graduation We need to purchase 3 awards for: Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award Outstanding Staff Award Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award Last year the GSA paid $75/award which involved an engraved plaque. We need to send out survey to students sometime in April to identify the winners of each award CONCLUSIONS We need to continue research possible other award options TOPIC 4 Deciding on Hooders/Marshals for Graduation We still need to decide on Hooders for Graduation. Chelsea will check in with Kathryn Kendall to see when she needs who the Hooders are. Depending on her reply, we will aim to send out survey to students after Feb. 27 th if that fits her timeline. CONCLUSION TOPIC 5 Chelsea will check in with Kathry Kendall to clarify timeline Academic Integrity Roundtable Update Because many of the times to host the Roundtable occur during our next closed GSA meetings, we will be combining our meeting with the Academic Integrity Roundtable discussion on Feb. 23rd CONCLUSION TOPIC 6 Marna will attend upcoming meeting on behalf of GSA End-of-the-Year SSW Party Planning We are aiming to host the party on May 8 th or May 15 th. We will bring it up for a vote at another open meeting. We generated initial ideas as to: Event space: Hotel Lafayette, Pearl Street and the Statler Food/Catering (aside from in-house caters at Hotel Lafayette): Gelato Gypsy, vendor from the West Side Bazar Photo Booth Send Survey out to query on dietary restrictions The discussion was tabled due to time but left open. All are encouraged to brainstor m additional ideas Carla will check in with Hotel Lafayette, Pearl Street and the Statler to determine if CONCLUSION space is available on dates in questions as well as to begin getting quotes for costs on food, drink and renting space.
