Grubb’s interview detailed how the ultimate entertainment suite perched 15 stories above the streets of Hollywood features a dining/game room, balcony putting green, and 110-inch movie screen, but no bedroom. The custom-designed suite features a game table and chairs, four flat-screen TVs, a buffet for entertaining, and a crystal chandelier in lieu of bedroom furnishings. Smaller scale furnishings were used for ease of rearrangement to accommodate multiple entertainment functions, and sofa sleepers provide a place to rest when the fun extends into the wee hours. The penthouse recently won an Americas Property Award for “Best Interior Design Show Home California” from the International Property Awards. The project speaks to Grubb’s visionary quest to indulge the lighter side of his client’s urbane lifestyle, with concealed surround sound, Balinese Seashell tiles, handblown light fixtures, and contemporary art. The penthouse also includes a vanity from The C.G. Collection by Christopher Grubb, his signature line of bathroom furniture.
