Cells and Genetics Flap Book 1. Obtain 4 pieces of plain white paper and a flap book rubric 2. Place the rubric sheet vertically in-front of you on the table 3. Place the 1st sheet of plain white paper on top of the rubric so that it is layered about 1.5 cm above it * 4. Repeat step 3 with remaining 3 sheets of white paper plain sheet #4 layered 1.5 cm above 3rd one! Grab the stack of sheets/slide fingers under back of sheets and thumbs on top of stack. Fold over all layered sheets from the top down to make 1 large title flap and nine, 1.5 cm mini flaps (see below). Staple the top right and top left of the crease fold (above title flap) Read pages 76-89 of your textbook. As you come across a highlighted term, write the word in your notebook on page 94. Note and find relationships between words. Arrange the words by their relationship with each other (ex. “up” and “down” are opposites so they would be next to each other). Once you figure out an order, transfer all of the words to the flaps of the flap book. You will end up with 2 words on each flap. One word is the “title” word for the entire book (largest flap on top).
