The American Animal Producers Club at SUNY Cobleskill presents the Third Annual Livestock Judging Clinic Grow it. Fit it. Show it. A fun-filled day of beef cattle, swine, goat and sheep judging & showmanship clinics, industry speakers and competitions! Saturday, April 26, 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Schoharie County Fairgrounds Clinic Highlights: Beef, Swine, Meat Goat and Sheep Judging/Reasons Clinics; Showmanship Clinics; “Reasons” tips for the show ring; Judging Competitions; Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Junior participants (ages 8 – 21) will learn judging techniques and reason delivery for show cattle, swine, meat goats and sheep from some of the region’s most talented livestock professionals on Saturday, April 26. Juniors will also be able to actively participate in showmanship clinics on that day, which will end with a multi-species judging competition (with prizes for winners!). Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided for juniors as part of their registration fee and each junior will receive a 2014 Livestock Clinic t-shirt and notebook. Parents and other adult attendees will be able to join junior participants in the weekend’s events and will only be charged for meal expenses ($12/adult). Total registration costs are $40.00 each for the first THREE juniors in each group (4-H, FFA, family or otherwise) and $35.00 for each additional junior.
