WHO IS EHS?
The University of Northern Colorado’s
Environmental Health & Safety Department
(EHS) is part of the Facilities Management
division of the University. The EHS
department provides environmental,
health, and safety management services
for the entire University community.
The EHS department is located in Parsons
Hall on east campus. Please contact the

Various other responsibilities are handled
through EHS that are not specifically listed.
Consultation is offered to faculty and staff
on many topics related to research and
regulatory compliance. EHS acts as a
liaison for the institution with regulators and
governing agencies on environmental, fire,
and safety issues. Occasionally audits are
performed in response to requests from the
State or Federal government. EHS
participates and coordinates emergency
response exercises and trainings and is a
part of the campus emergency response
committee. See the section in this
